Transpersonal Counselling
Can you think of a time in your life where you felt inexplicably connected to something bigger than yourself? Perhaps you felt this “something more” whilst listening to music, seeing a play, hiking in nature, walking through an art gallery, singing in a choir, or whilst engaged in a religious service or meditating by the beach? Transpersonal Counselling explores experiences that take us beyond our normal conscious awareness. These kinds of experiences can create perceptual shifts in our inner worlds and help us tap into a deep reservoir of joy, awe and wonder. As a Transpersonal Counsellor, I support clients in exploring what living a meaningful, purposeful life looks like for them, where they are living “in flow” with who they were created to be. This can be really helpful if you're wanting to engage with a type of counselling that honours that “something more”, to connect with the real “you” behind the mask you wear and to explore some of those big questions we all have as we seek to navigate change and transition in this life. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals who are seeking to engage with some of the big existential questions of life, those going through a mid-life crisis, or struggling to find their feet in the second half of life. Transpersonal Counselling can help open up new ways of seeing problems and facing suffering through exploring myths, rituals, spiritual writings and symbols from around the world that can provide a fresh perspective, practical wisdom and an opportunity for new possibilities to emerge…..
